Approach to Therapy

My approach to therapy is flexible and tailored to meet the unique needs of each client I work with. I adapt my methods based on what will be most helpful for you and your specific goals. Some common approaches I incorporate in sessions include Psychodynamic, TFCBT, and Solution Focused. My clinical experience includes collaborative work with children, adolescents, adults, and families who have high-intensity needs—whether they are dealing with complex trauma, significant emotional dysregulation, cultural and societal pressures, or severe mental health conditions (depression, anxiety, trauma). I’m passionate about helping adolescents and young adults develop the tools they need to overcome challenges and build resilience. My goal is to support them in gaining the confidence to keep moving forward, even when faced with life's inevitable challenges.

I use the strengths-based approach not only to foster hope and self-efficacy but also to encourage a collaborative, non-judgmental therapeutic relationship where you will feel seen for who you are, rather than just your challenges. I will be patient with you to allow you to make changes at your own pace. At the same time, challenging you gently and with respect can push you beyond your comfort zone and help you confront limiting beliefs or behaviors that may be holding you back. "The human race has only one effective weapon, and that is laughter." – Mark Twain. When approaching goal setting with clients, I follow a structured yet flexible process designed to help them clarify their objectives, break them down into actionable steps, and stay motivated throughout the journey.
