My Approach
My approach is flexible and tailored to your unique needs and goals. I adapt my methods based on what will be most helpful for you. Common approaches I incorporate include Psychodynamic, CBT, and DBT.
My Client focus
I work with children, adolescents, and adults dealing with complex trauma, emotional dysregulation, cultural pressures, depression, anxiety, and trauma. I'm passionate about helping adolescents and young adults develop tools to overcome challenges and build resilience.
My Communication Style
I use a strengths-based approach to foster hope and self-efficacy in a collaborative, non-judgmental space where you'll feel seen for who you are. I'm patient and allow you to make changes at your own pace, while gently challenging you to move beyond your comfort zone.
How I Help Clients Reach Goals
I use a collaborative, structured approach to help clients reach goals. We set an agenda together, review progress, and adjust treatment as needed. I offer weekly challenges to build skills and encourage feedback, tailoring strategies to each person’s learning style.
My Journey To Becoming a Provider
Working as a case manager, I enjoyed collaborating with psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, probation officers, schools, and more. I became a therapist to address deeper, more personal struggles that often go unspoken, and to offer a nonjudgmental, compassionate space for those who may not have that support in their lives.
My First Session With Clients
We'll start by introducing ourselves and discussing your expectations for therapy. I'll review your assessments and ask questions to gather additional information. Then we'll collaboratively create a tailored plan to make the most of our time together.
